About Accelerating Asia
Accelerating Asia consults and manages innovation projects for partners (corporates, governments, etc.). We also run Singapore’s only independent startup accelerator program. We are looking for an awesome new team member to join our lean and hard-working, but also fun atmosphere. This new team member will lead one of our partner projects.
About the role
The Program Manager has a set of diverse responsibilities within the team. You will lead program operations, community management, and stakeholder engagement for an accelerator program. Operational tasks include planning and executing events such as mentor and investor networking events, coordinating with the team and startups on the program curriculum, and organizing an international immersion trip for the startups.
The Program Manager will also support the cohort with access to resources and networks. Founders will meet with the Program Manager on a regular basis and have prepared topics to run through. The Program Manager will act as a connector to the wider startup ecosystem, and provide advice and introductions to help founders overcome any obstacles or knowledge gaps on their journey.
In addition, the Program Manager will help build up a community around the program consisting of mentors, investors, business development professionals, and other stakeholders that will be valuable assets to the startups. Since this program is run on behalf of a client, the Program Manager will also be expected to manage the client and ensure we maintain a positive working relationship with them throughout the project.
What We Look For
We’re looking for someone who is a fast learner, can take initiative, and work autonomously. A great candidate will have worked with startups previously and want to be immersed in one of the world’s fastest growing startup ecosystems. Experience in business development is a bonus for this role!
We also look for:
At least 5 years experience with stakeholder management
Previous operations or program management experience, experience working in a startup or at an accelerator program is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Ability to effectively operate under stress and manage multiple projects on the go
A positive, can-do attitude
Travel: Available to travel for the international trip (a total of six to eight weeks out of the year)
Ability to speak Russian or a connection with Russia through work or study is a bonus
