We are currently recruiting for a Head of Embedded Systems Engineer for the hardware and software development of our IoT car-sharing platform. It includes requirements analysis and specification, hardware/software design, implementation, debugging, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Our systems cover a wide range of embedded aspects across software and hardware development in IoT and automotive domains, including areas such as CAN-bus protocol, GPS, RTOS, wireless protocols such as BLE, LTE, sensors such as IMU, environment, actuators such as relay, MOSFET.

This role is focused on development of the new hardware version, managing hardware production process, building an R&D team and continued maintenance existing hardware product and

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop embedded systems to enhance current our solution for car sharing technology

  • Manage hardware/technician team to assemble and install hardware devices in our vehicles

  • Analyse, review, create and contribute to the product requirements specifications

  • Prepare documentation for the architectural and protocol specifications, workflows and system design

  • Design the new hardware version based on existing product

  • Design and developing the firmware for the various hardware modules

  • Develop the integration software with various vehicle branches and models using CAN bus protocol

  • Developing QA procedures and automated testing

  • Writing test cases and executing tests

  • Managing hardware production process: communicate with contract manufacturer for PCB/PCBA services as well as testing and programming.

  • Building the hardware team where you are a team lead

Requirements

Hard Requirement:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

  • Electrical engineering skills: PCB design (Eagle/Altium), hardware prototyping

  • Good knowledge of digital and analog electronics

  • Have experience with embedded platforms: Arduino, ARM based (ie. STM32), TI Bluetooth Low Energy (TI Sensor tag), Linux based boards

  • Have strong background and experience on communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RFID, TCP/IP etc.

  • Experience with GPS/GSM/LTE (Ublox, Cinterion, Quectel) modules

  • Experience with OBD2 (On-board Diagnostics) interface

  • Have knowledge/experience with embedded real-time OS, multi-processor embedded systems

  • Have strong programming skill: C/C++, Java, Python

  • Experience with AWS IoT cloud

  • Familiar with start-up environment
